Omega 3

Omega 3

My son is now 11 years old and has used Omega 3 as a supplement since he was about 4 years of age.

As a toddler he had developmental challenges with his speech and organising his sentences verbally. He would re-start his sentences up to 5 times before the whole sentence would come out. At commencement of school it was noted he was not hyperactive, but had concentration challenges, this being an ongoing issue.

I decided after reading and hearing about Omega 3 to try this wonder fish oil for all the great benefits it offers including assistance to brain development and memory.
I have tried varying dosages – After about two years of using Omega 3, I wondered how can I be sure if these tablets are really helping? One summer whilst school was out I decided to stop the tablets; thinking I would save myself some $. What occurred within a day of stopping this supplement was that my son started slurring some of his words again and it was apparent his sentences were being repeated much more than usual.

Also a year ago, during his final year of primary school, I decided to up his daily dosage – and I really believe he did better at school – his teacher commented that he seemed to be more attentive, so I have stuck to giving him more tablets, morning and night with his meals. It is not a cure for likes of ADD symptoms, but it does assist. I don’t this think wonder natural food can do any harm. If you’re worried about how your child will manage a large tablet, perhaps try having it with yogurt, otherwise I believe you can get Omega 3 in liquid form.
