- Additional Information
THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is a chemical compound contained in the flowering part of the hemp plant, called Cannabis sativa, responsible both for its psychoactive characteristics and for many of its therapeutic properties.
The effects of THC on the human body are mainly found in the central and immune nervous system. Drug consumption can provoke central nervous system disorders, altering sensory perception, inducing loss of coordination and impairing short-term memory.
Other effects reported by the consumers are paranoiac seizures, anxiety, depression, confusion, hallucinations, increased heart rate and impaired driving ability, up to two times higher than that resulting from alcohol intake. Consumption of Marijuana by pregnant women can have a negative effect on foetus development and/or cognitive abilities.
